Amazon.com is currently running a new program in Beta called Context Links. This looks like it is going to be an excellent tool to help webmasters increase revenue from their websites.

Context links are very similar to google adsense ads in that you place a snippet of code on your website, amazon reads the page, understands what it is about, and displays products that are relevant.

This is a significant development for several reasons. First off you, as a webmaster, no longer do you have to worry about amazon products going out of stock. It can be a lot of work going over your products and replacing all the code for the products no longer in stock at amazon.com. Context ads solve this problem. It will display only up to date products.

A second big benefit is that you can very specifically gain from the massive intelligence that amazon is gathering about its customers. Do you get email from amazon? Do you log into their site often? Ever notice how the main page changes based on your browsing and shopping habits? They have gathered information from you and from millions of other shoppers and this means they know what might be of interest to you. You can leverage this intelligence by using context ads. Now when you create a content page you can let amazon figure out what products would best be sold within that page.

A third benefit is that this will actually offer your web visitor a better shopping experience. Let me explain. You are a webmaster and that means you probably have some expertise in the subject area of your website. But do you know everything? Do you know about all the most popular products in your subject? Of course you don’t. There are too many things to know and too little time in the day. But Amazon knows. And they will display these things in context ads. You leverage their intelligence to your gain (and their gain).

Extraordinary Control over what is displayed

There is one significant thing about context links that make them very attractive and better. This is that you as the webmaster are given quite a lot of control. They give you all the usual Amazon type controls that you are probably already familiar with such as size, color, look and layout. But there is one extra level of control that will have a significant impact on how well context ads do on your site. That is the ability to mark, with some simple html, exactly which portions of your page you want to be analyzed or not analyzed for the content ad placement. This is a tremendous tool for you as a webmaster. It will allow you to finely tune what you want them to place on your page.

Context Ads are currently in Beta and I am not sure how wide they are offering it to their affiliates but if you have an affiliate account log in and check to see if you have access to it. I recommend you start using and testing it right away! If you have a website and are not an affiliate of Amazon.com I highly recommend you sign up! This looks like it could be a very successful tool that will significantly impact your click through rates.

All I have to say is WOW. I haven’t seen this kind of vitriol since the last Democratic Convention, and all directed toward Chitika, a startup ad company that was supposed to be the Google killer. Their crime? Cutting people’s revenue checks after they’ve earned the money. Not a great PR move. And it looks like there are more problems with what, on the surface, looks like a great idea. I have to admit I don’t understand how anyone (including Chitika) makes any money with their revenue model.

Darren Rouse of problogger.net, who I respect immensely (and who makes a couple hundred grand a year blogging), has really flogged the heck out of Chitika. Right from the start I had trouble understanding how they were going to make any money.

Chitika Mini Malls allow you to sell specific products (merchandise) within the pages of your website or blog. The ads boast the best price for a specific product, and then allow the user to click to (supposedly) buy the product. They also include tabs for search and other functionality built right into the banner-like ad.

Publishers can choose to show ads by keyword (they pick the words), or by page context like Google (having both ads in contextual mode on your site violates Google’s terms of service).

Apparently Chitika has deals with companies like Shopping.com, Ubid and others to share in clickthroughs. Or they may just go through channeladvisor.com, a syndicator of content for the major shopping sites (which explains why they all have the same content).

From my comfortable chair I can see where the trouble begins. When someone comes to Shopping.com they’re looking for something, whether it is duck boots from L.L. Bean or a battery charger from Sears, and they’re looking for the best price, presumably so they can buy the product (it’s not called just looking around.com. It’s shopping.com.

So Bean or Sears doesn’t mind paying Shopping.com fifteen cents or a quarter or whatever to get the person to press the buy button, because they know the person is ready to put down the credit card number.

I’m not sure moving that model out to my web site is going to pay off in a pay-per-click model. Back when we did CASIE-award winning (5 awards actually) campaigns for John Hancock, the goal was to capture someone having a specific life event such as having a baby, marriage, graduation, etc., and get them to Hancock. The presumption was that they would be ready to buy. Chances are if they saw a banner that said Ready to tie the knot? Are you covered? or some such thing and they clicked, they were ready to buy, and it would have been worth paying for the click.

Shopping.com is similar. If you’re there, the life event is a new TV (not quite as profound as marriage, but important just the same).

I’m not sure how much a click on the Best price for a TV MiniMall ad by someone who is not ready to buy a TV is actually worth. Remember, they haven’t come to Shopping.com. Shopping.com has come to them.

Keeping that in mind (the value of a click from my site vs. the value of a click from the Shopping.com site), all of the controversy makes perfect sense.

Let’s start with the auditing fiasco. They told a bunch of publishers how much oney they made from people clicking on the ads, then decided to take back some of it. They claimed to be taking back money from clicks from countries where the products couldn’t be shipped and accounting for click fraud. While this is annoying, I can understand it, though I’m not quite sure how they could examine every click and figure this stuff out, especially when rumor has it the system isn’t exactly a technological powerhouse. In fact, according to Shoemoney.com, the technology is a PHP ripoff.

So they threw out a few clicks, right. Big deal. But here’s where Chitika crossed the Rubicon as far as I’m concerned — they decided that they were going to filter out what they called curiosity clicks, which they loosely defined as clicks that are not likely to result in a sale.

Wait a minute here…no one said anything about sales. As I mention in my previous article about Pay-per-click advertising, the publishers responsibility in the pay-per-click model is to get the user to click. The rest of the chain is then out of the publisher’s hands.

Chitika has basically created its own model here, and I call it Pay-per-selected-click. They are, in effect, deciding that some clicks are more valuable than others. Specifically they are saying that clicks resulting in sales are better than clicks not resulting in sales. Viola! They have invented Pay-per-Sale (or Pay-per-Action for those semanticists in the audience).

Other people call it BS. Actually so do I. I think it is dishonest to tell publishers that you will pay them for every click and then decide which clicks to pay for. That’s like telling the lottery agent that you’ll buy the tickets now for $1 each, but you’re coming back after the drawing to return the ones that didn’t win for your dollar back.

Put another way, if you’re giving away 70% of what you earn (60% to the publisher and 10% to his referring publishers), you can’t be throwing around dollar bills. And if your model is stupid (which this one clearly is), you need to pull some hocus-pocus man-behind-the-curtain give-with-one-hand-and-take-away-with-the-other kind of magic.

The most amusing part of this has to be picturing the look on the marketing weenie’s faces at L.L. Bean and Sears when the bill for a million clicks comes in and they find that they made four sales.

The bottom line here is that in this context (selling someone merchandise) a click from Shopping.com has more value than a click from Bobsblog.com.

Chitika turned me down for an account. They said that I didn’t meet the qualifications. Darren Rouse says that web sites that are product centered. Chitika says the same thing.

This proves my point even more. If a website is product centered (in other words reviews computers or exhalts the virtues of a Palm Pilot), then the fact that you are on that site means you have some interest in the product. Your Chitika MiniMall is the Buy It Now for that product. This means that there won’t be as many curiosity clicks, and Chitika won’t take as much of your earnings back.

You are getting subjected to Pay-Per-Action criteria with Pay-Per-Click rewards. If you want to see how publishers are reacting to this, you might want to Google Chitika sucks, or look up one of the anti-Chitika web sites like Shitika.com. Jensense also has a nice synopsis you might want to take a look at.

Without looking I’m going to guess that the angry people are the ones furthest from Shopping.com in content and model, and the ones who had the least taken off their earnings are more product centered (whatever the hell that means).

Chitika claims to be The Leader in Impulse Merchandising. Their model puts a different spin on the word context. For their ads to work, you have to be predisposed toward purchasing the product on one of their banners, and the theme of the site on which the ad appears is the actual context of the ad, not the keywords you supply or context Chitika uses to choose the banner.

I’d replace Chitika with a Pay-Per-Action ad that fits the theme of your site. If you’re lazy stick with them, at least until they either change the model so they make more money or go out of business. At this point I’m not sure which one to bet on.

Amazon have set up an affiliate program (they call it the “Amazon Associates Program”). The theory behind the Amazon Associates program is amazingly simple. By sending traffic to the Amazon website, you will earn a commission (between 5%-10%) on all of the sales that result from any visitors that you send.

This is great because it means you do not have to get involved in product fulfillment. You have no stock to store, you don’t have to pick and ship orders and, perhaps most importantly of all, you don’t need to get involved in any customer service activities. All you have to do is be purely a marketing machine and send traffic to Amazon’s site.

Of course, the real trick – in fact the key to making this all work - is to send traffic to the Amazon site at a cost that is less than the revenue you receive from Amazon. If you are able to do that, then you can definitely make a tidy profit in the process.

Now, there are a number of options open to you for creating traffic. You can create traffic for free by writing articles, creating your own blog or even by setting up a website of your own and going through the lengthy process of optimizing your website for the search engines so that your website is listed near the top of the search results. These three methods are time consuming, but they will get you results if you stick with them.

Another way of generating traffic, which unfortunately is not free, is to create advertising campaigns using one of the many pay-per-click options that exist. This basically means using Google Adwords or the similar services offered by Yahoo! and MSN.

If you hadn’t already noticed, every time you do a search in Google, you will see a series of paid advertisements down the right-hand-side. You can create adverts that will be displayed when the user types in specific search terms.

So you can pick specific products from the Amazon website to promote and set up a specific pay-per-click campaign for each of these products. Each time the user clicks on one of your adverts, Google will charge you for the click, hence the term pay-per-click. You, in turn, point the user to Amazon’s website. If this whole process costs you less than the commission you receive, then you make a profit.

Simple as that!

Well, not quite. But help is at hand. If you are interested in learning how it is possible to make good money as an Amazon Affiliate, visit my website now for more information.

CPA is an acronym or short for Cost Per Action or Cost Per Acquisition. The term CPA is not new. If you browse through the Search Engines using the keyword phrase "cost per action" or "cost per acquisition" you will find numerous websites with CPA related articles dating from 2001 - over 5 years ago.

In a nutshell, CPA is a performance based online advertising payment system in which payment is based solely on qualifying actions such as a lead, a sale or registration. In other words, merchants/advertisers determine what actions they want to reward and how much they are willing to pay for those actions.

Lead, Conversion or Registration

The actions defined in a CPA or Cost Per Action agreement relate directly to some type of conversion, with leads, sales and registrations among the most common and does not include deals based solely on clicks such as AdSense, which are referred to specifically as cost-per-click or CPC.

The definition of a Lead, Conversion or Registration can vary from one CPA Affiliate Network to another.

A lead or conversion may simply be considered to be no more than a website visitor providing his/her name and eMail address.

In another example, to be considered a lead or conversion, a website visitor may need to complete and submit a 1 page or 2 page application form. In this example, the product in question may be a home loan or payday loan. But it does not matter to the publisher whether the applicant gets the loan or not or has to wait 30 days before they get an answer from the lender. Once the visitor has completed the desired or contractual action, the publisher has earned a commission.

In another example, a lead or conversion may simply be achieved by a website visitor completing a small website form and paying a small $postage fee via a credit card for the advertised product to be sent to their mailing address.

What all this means is that publishers i.e. website owners, get paid not on how many times an ad is seen or even on how many times it's clicked, but according to how many people click on it and take the action specified by the advertiser on his/her site.

Comparison of CPA Affiliate Programs with Cost Per Click or Cost Per Sale Website Monetization Models

CPA Affiliate Programs are very similar to other popular website monetization models whereby a publisher takes advantage of the arbitrage opportunities between low cost traffic and high paying contextual ads or products paying high affiliate commissions.

In one Scenario low cost pay-per-click or other traffic is driven to a website or landing page displaying high paying contextual ads. When someone clicks on the low cost pay-per-click ad, they then get referred to the website or landing page. If that same someone then clicks on a high paying contextual ad, the publisher earns a commission.

In another Scenario low cost pay-per-click or other traffic is driven to a website advertising high paying affiliate products or directly to the advertiser's own website. When someone clicks on the low cost ad, they then get referred to the Product page(s). If that same someone then orders and pays for a product the publisher will have earned an affiliate commission.

The subtle difference between the first scenario and the second scenario is that in scenario 1 the publisher gets paid with a % of the value of the click regardless of whether the visitor purchased the end product or not. In scenario 2 the publisher only gets paid if the click resulted in a Sale. In CPA (Cost-Per-Action) Affiliate Programs the publisher gets paid if the click resulted in a lead.

CPA Affiliate Network

Before you can engage in a CPA Affiliate Program you will need to apply for affiliate membership in one or more of the 50+ CPA Affiliated Network Companies. All applications are stringently reviewed before they are approved.

Once your application is approved there are essentially 7 simple steps to start generating profits:

1. Find the ultimate high paying, high quality CPA Campaigns to advertise;

2. Identify appropriate Keywords;

3. Register your Domain, prepare and upload your Landing Page;

4. Set up super Low Cost P-P-C Advertising Test campaigns;

5. Monitor and Identify Profitable Test campaigns;

6. Turn Profitable Test Campaigns into fully-fledged Campaigns;

7. Rinse and Repeat;

CPA Affiliate Programs can work well with any type of advertising or traffic generation but are especially extremely profitable when undertaken with a pay-per-click advertising program.

Caution - CPA Affiliate Programs are very profitable and are currently fashionable. All Internet marketers should start looking at CPA Affiliate Programs but before they engage in this activity they should make sure that they have read and fully understand pay-per-click advertising.

Always include a signature at the bottom of the article containing your website link. Then post your article on as many websites as you can. Lots of sites let you post for free.

8.Add an Article page to your website: Post all of your articles on this page and any others you find related to your niche. Having an article page will add content to your website and will help with your page rank since search engines love websites with lots of relevant content.

Affiliate marketing has become one of the most popular methods to make money on the internet. There is thousands of affiliate marketing companies to choose from, which gives you the ability to become an affiliate for a company based around your website. Another advantage to affiliate marketing is the ability to be an affiliate for a number of companies, not just one. So how do you go about selecting a successful affiliate marketing company?

It is wise to select an affiliate marketing company that has to do with your website. Odds are your website is something that interests you, so make sure you select a program that is of interest to you. This will make it much easier to promote and sell something if you have an interest in it.

After you know what type of affiliate marketing company you want to target and promote, you need to research A LOT about the various programs out there. Dig deep and find out what makes one program better than the others. To start you should look at the surface of the company. Ask yourself if it looks professional and if you would buy from them yourself. Does the company know the product and promote it strongly themselves? These are all signs of a successful company from the surface.

Everyone is in affiliate marketing to make money. So the next step is to find the programs that pay out the best and offer the most residual income. It is recommended that you look for a program that pays out no less than 40% of your sales. There are thousands of programs to choose from, so make sure your efforts are being rewarded with a high pay out.

Once you know how much you can make from a specific affiliate marketing company, look into whether or not the company provides you with tools and resources to promote the product. The only way you can be successful in affiliate marketing is if you sell the product, which makes it all the more crucial to have tools to promote the product.

Lastly, it is vital that the affiliate marketing company you select has a place to check your stats. Not only do you need to be able to check your stats, but you need to be able to check them 24 hours a day. After all, the internet never sleeps so why should the stat checking system sleep. If you don’t know how you’re doing, how are you going to be able to stay motivated?

Selecting the perfect affiliate marketing company for you can be difficult since there are so many choices. However, if you put in the effort to research and learn a little bit about some of the options, you should have no problem selecting a winner. Just remember, there is nothing saying you can’t be involved with multiple affiliate marketing programs at once.

So much of what we read is put forward by proponents of either Adsense revenue OR Affiliate revenue but it doesn't need to be either / or it can just as easily be both. It is true that both options can work individually for many people, with perhaps one or other working better depending on the nature and content of your site while making it difficult to follow the money.

What seems to apply to niche sites is that there isn't always a suitable affiliate programme that fits with your niche topic, so it appears that if you want to follow the money, your only option is to monetize your site by liberally sprinkling Google AdSense advertising all over it.

However the greatest barrier to a successful revenue-generating niche site is the unique content that brings visitors and search engines to your site. Creating the content which attracts high-paying Adsense ads and therefore the revenue you are seeking can be very demanding and time consuming, although sources such as EzineArticles.com can pull you through with vast numbers of free-reprint articles.

So my question is this: Do you want to follow the money i.e. build some revenue? Or are you flattering yourself that your (non revenue-generating) niche site is just a labour of love?

In general an affiliate programme will pay more than Adsense for the same number of clicks, if it converts well and complements your site topic. But why rely solely on complementary affiliate programmes? Some topics apply to just about everybody who is on the net.

There is always someone interested in say losing weight or getting rid of spyware; there are people interested in astrology or self-improvement, lots of people are keen to quit smoking or prepare a new Resume or CV and all of these people will look at links that are of interest.

So if you really want to follow the money you don't need to be an affiliate of just one or two products, why not be an affiliate for ALL of them? Using a source such as Clickbank marketplace you can do just that. And still have Adsense on your site. Take a look at my site and see how it can be done, try it this way and you can really follow the money. From business to money, from health and fitness to fun and entertainment, Clickbank Marketplace offers something for everyone.

One of the best kept secrets in today's affiliate marketing world is the pay per click advertising version with Google AdWords. Adwords allows advertisers to place small ads on websites or on Google.com search result pages. You probably noticed the little advertisements to the right on Google.com.

In Affiliate Marketing you are promoting 3rd party products and in return you earn a share of a sale generated from your marketing efforts. We all have seen those little Amazon.com banners on different websites. These would be a very simple form of affiliate marketing. More sophisticated versions are complete stores build around Amazon.com or based on data feeds from other vendors. In some cases the affiliate has to build his own website and store - in others there are white label website templates or pages available for the affiliate to work with. Only when it comes to the actual sale the customer is redirected to the 3rd party vendor who carries the actual product.

Not a new variant but a not very well-known version of affiliate marketing is the promotion of affiliate product links/websites via Google AdWords. The power of advertising on Google.com is combined with the affiliate link. The affiliate partner does not need a website anymore, he directly links the customer to the 3rd party. With Google AdWords very targeted marketing is possible and well-written ads equipped with the right keywords can bring in big bucks. All the affiliate has to do is to figure out which keywords are affordable to promote. And that's where secret to success is. Everyone can buy the expensive and obvious keywords to promote products but when it comes to affiliate success via PPC advertising (aka Google AdWords) the inexperienced marketing folks are being weeded out or are left with big holes in their pockets. Finding the right combination of keywords, target group, ad copy is the critical piece of the puzzle.

Overall - affiliate marketing via PPC on Google or via Overture (competitor of Google AdWords) can be very lucrative and quite a few people are making a living of it. It sounds easy to do but to break into this field a new affiliate needs a lot of luck, big bucks or patience and knowledge.

Affiliate marketing has been around on the Web for quite sometime now, but there are still a lot of people who doesn't know much or even nothing about it. Most of the people that don't know about affiliate marketing and has just discovered it normally thinks that they can make a quick buck or two. Well that's not the case.

To do well in affiliate marketing is not just a one-day task. Affiliate marketing is like an on going assignment where you have to try different things out like different advertising techniques, different ways of adding affiliate banners and text links to your site, etc. You may even have to join a number of affiliate programs just to see which ones performs the best with the other content that you already have on your site.

Another thing is that many affiliates expect to do well from just having a list of about 20 affiliated banners on one page of their site. Well that's not exactly true as people will see your web page and won't even bother clicking on any of the banners to go to your affiliated sites as your web page just looks like a link farm. How people think they can make money this way, I really don't know as affiliate marketing takes time and effort before any results can be seen.

If you are adding affiliate banners or text links to your site, then the best thing to do is for you to add affiliate links or banners to your site that is on the same topic as the other information on your web page. By doing this, you will not want to add too many affiliated banners or text links as it will just look like a page of links and will only turn your visitors away, about three affiliated links should be enough depending on how large the web page is.

Another important aspect in affiliate marketing is advertising. You can't expect to add affiliate material to your site and expect to receive sales straight away. If you have no traffic coming to your site, then you will not get any sales. Infact, directly advertising the affiliate links or adding the affiliate links to your website and advertising that is probably one of the most important things that you will need to do to have any chance of succeeding. This is because the more you promote your affiliate link or site that contains the affiliate links, then the more clickthru's your affiliate links are likely to receive, which is then most likely to result in more sales.

About the Author: Jonathan White has been doing affiliate marketing, advertising and promotion on the Web for over three years now and is the Webmaster of http://www.affiliateseeking.com - a categorized affiliate programs directory that lists over 1000 programs and is still growing.

The ideal world of affiliate marketing does not require having your own website, dealing with customers, refunds, product development and maintenance. This is one of the easiest ways of launching into an online business and earning more profits. Assuming you are already into an affiliate program, what would be the next thing you would want to do? Double, or even triple, your commissions, right? How do you do that? Here are some powerful tips on how to boost your affiliate program commissions overnight. 1. Know the best program and products to promote. Obviously, you would want to promote a program that will enable you to achieve the greatest profits in the shortest possible time. There are several factors to consider in selecting such a program. Choose the ones that have a generous commission structure. Have products that fit in with your target audience. And that has a solid track record of paying their affiliate easily and on time. If you cannot seem to increase your investments, dump that program and keep looking for better ones. There are thousands of affiliate programs online which gives you the reason to be picky. You may want to select the best to avoid losing your advertising dollars. Write free reports or short ebooks to distribute from your site. There is a great possibility that you are competing with other affiliates that are promoting the same program. If you start writing short report related to the product you are promoting, you will be able to distinguish yourself from the other affiliates. In the reports, provide some valuable information for free. If possible, add some recommendations about the products. With ebooks, you get credibility. Customers will see that in you and they will be enticed to try out what you are offering. 2. Collect and save the email addresses of those who download your free ebooks. It is a known fact that people do not make a purchase on the first solicitation. You may want to send out your message more than six times to make a sale. This is the simple reason why you should collect the contact information of those who downloaded your reports and ebooks. You can make follow-ups on these contacts to remind them to make a purchase from you. Get the contact information of a prospect before sending them to the vendor's website. Keep in mind that you are providing free advertisement for the product owners. You get paid only when you make a sale. If you send prospects directly to the vendors, chances are they would be lost to you forever. But when you get their names, you can always send other marketing messages to them to be able to earn an ongoing commission instead of a one-time sale only. Publish an online newsletter or Ezine. It is always best to recommend a product to someone you know than to sell to a stranger. This is the purpose behind publishing your own newsletter. This also allows you to develop a relationship based on trust with your subscribers. This strategy is a delicate balance between providing useful information with a sales pitch. If you continue to write informative editorials you will be able to build a sense of reciprocity in your readers that may lead them to support you by buying your products. 3. Ask for higher than normal commission from merchants. If you are already successful with a particular promotion, you should try and approach the merchant and negotiate a percentage commission for your sales. If the merchant is smart, he or she will likely grant your request rather than lose a valuable asset in you. Keep in mind that you are a zero-risk investment to your merchant; so do not be shy about requesting for addition in your commissions. Just try to be reasonable about it. Write strong pay Per Click ads. PPC search engine is the most effective means of advertising online. As an affiliate, you can make a small income just by managing PPC campaigns such as Google AdWords and Overture. Then you should try and monitor them to see which ads are more effective and which ones to dispose of. 2) Integrate your Adsense into the menu bars and the top of your web content.

3) Add web pages for affiliate-products and your opt-in email list. But, make sure that you leave out the Adsense blocks on these pages. This way you are ensuring that you are building your long-term assets.

4) Create optimized web page articles that focus on a specific keyword phrase. Place your Google Adsense in these blocks.

5) Provide your email list with good content and product recommendations. Once in awhile, email your list and provide a link to some of your web articles. That way, you can earn a little bit of m*ney from your subscribers while giving them good content.

By focusing on both affiliate products and Google Adsense, you will be building both short-term and long-term profits.

Merchants place their ads in Google, which is one of the most popular search engines or tools for locating various resources in the World Wide Web. Now the Google AdSense program allows you to display these ads in you website and when your visitors click through them, you earn. The advertiser, which is the merchant pays Google for every click-through made by the customer and you as a partner of Google, gets a share from that payment.

What's great about the Google AdSense is that the ads are relevant to the content of your web page. Most likely, visitors of your web site are interested on the theme of your site and specifically, on the content of your web page. So, seeing ads related to their interest would definitely drive them to click through the link or the ad. Using state-of-the-art technology, Google scans your web site and matches the content of your pages to their large database of advertisers; this way, Google is able to find ads that are targeted by the users of your site. In addition, Google changes the ads in your site as you change the content of your pages, so you can always expect the ads to be relevant to your site.

Having Google ads in your website is also a way of convincing your users to return to your site. Repeat customers multiply your income without having to exert extra effort to convince them again to click through your links. And your potential to earn doesn't depend on them alone. Since you already have their confidence, they can be your endorsers as well. They could refer your site to family and friends who probably share the same interests with them.

Advertisers in the Google AdSense program range from large international brands to small-time domestic and local businesses, so the targeted market for the ads can range as well. This adds variety to your site; thereby, attracting different kinds of users. As you attract more users, you increase your earning potential as well. If you are targeting a specific nationality for your site users, don't worry because AdSense can be used in different languages.

In order to boost your revenues through Google AdSense, you must pay attention to making web pages of high value topics. Make contents related to high-paying ads, so you can earn more. Some ads pay only a few cents while some ads pay you dollars just for a single click. You would need to do a little research on this so you can come up with a more relevant content. Pay Per Click, also referred to as PPC, is one of four different types of search engines available on the internet today. In fact, when it comes to internet advertisements to targeted audiences, PPC is the most cost effective of all methods. Forbes magazine states that PPC search engines, is responsible for two billion dollars of sales yearly and they expect that number to rise to about eight billion dollars by 2008.

First, you need to understand how a PPC search engine actually works. What happens is that the search engine will create a listing, then rate them in accordance with the amount the owner of the site bid per click on that particular engine. Essentially, website owners are bidding against each other, in an auction sort of format, to achieve higher ranking when it comes to certain phrases or keywords.

When the search engine determines who has bid the highest for a particular keyword, that site will be listed in the first slot when searched for on the search engine. Subsequent bidders will be listed in the next available slots, depending on who was the second highest bidder, third higher, and so on. These ads will then appear within the page results and placed according to the amount bid on the advertisement.

How can I make money implementing my Affiliate marketing business and PPC together?

When a visitor clicks on a link and purchases a product or service from the vendor is the only way to generate income from an affiliate program. Earnings can fluctuate from pay period to pay period because the entire program and profit potential depends on the number of sales, traffic to the website, and the content that is upon the website.

When you combine an affiliate program with PPC, you will find that your earning potential becomes much easier. With a PPC, you are paid per click from your site to theirs, not only as a result of leads, sales, or memberships. Which means more earning potential for you.

What is more about combining PPC search engines with an affiliate program, is that you can even earn a profit from those visitors that really aren't even interested in the services and products you have to offer. This increases the earning potential tremendously.

Another great aspect of combining the two is that you earn commissions all the while building your website up as a resource that is valuable to website visitors. This means that if someone found exactly what hey were looking for within your website, they are ten times likely to keep returning to see what else you have offer.

Therefore, by implementing your own PPC search engine into your site, you earn the money when a paid advertising link gets clicked, instead of someone else earning money from you. Just makes more sense when you think about it.

There are a variety of tools available when you combine your affiliate program and a PPC into your website. This includes errors pages, text links, banner advertisements, and search boxes for your website. Now the benefits of this keep getting better and better. When you combine the two, you are earning extra income. Furthermore, if you refer any other friends or acquaintances to the service, you earn commissions of their actions as well, for each referral you make.

It certainly is not hard to combine the two and using a PPC search engine is a valuable tool being enjoyed by many people all over the internet, so why not combine it with your affiliate program.

I personally think that affiliate marketing is the best way of making money online. Who is an affiliate? Affiliate is a partner to a company, wether it's a software company or a restaurant, it doesn't matter, as long as it has got some products or services for sale. An affiliate sells the company's product, the product he doesn't own and he gets a percentage from the successful sales. An electronics shop or a businessman who sells Sony or Samsung TVs is an affiliate to Sony or Samsung. The manufacturers produce their products but the affiliate does all the marketing. He partners with them. In online affiliate marketing you don't have to buy a product first, the product providers handle all the costumers and the sales. An affiliate just needs to promote the product (which means you don't need a website) and referr clients to the seller's website or to the website where they're able to pay for the product. If anyone you've referred buys anything, you'll earn commission from it. It's that simple. Imagine that you're an affiliate to a software website and you're promoting their product. Their product price is $19.90 and the commission you'll get from it is 60%. Do some calculations. 60% from $19.90 is $11.94. You then manage to generate 30 sales a month or 1 sale a day (which isn't very good, actually). You'll get $352 a month! Isn't that wonderful? How do you promote a product? You need to register to an ad-serving network. You need to join as an advertiser. You advertise a product and publishers show the ads to their visitors. If someone is interested in the product, he or she buys it. Of course, first you got to pay the ad-network to show the ads at all but don't be scared away, you may even start with as little as with $10 and if you do everything correctly, you will multiply it within days. You may invest the money you make into further advertising and you are allowed promote a product again. Advertising on ad-networks isn't the only way to promote a product. Maybe you might want to co-operate with some website and contact them personally or maybe your friend owns a website, or maybe you own a website yourself. You may promote a product by sending e-mails to interested people who are subscribed to your website (do you now understand how pay-to-read-e-mails programs work?), you can advertise the product to the people who you know would buy it. For an example, you can list a product for sale onto Yahoo and Amazon lists. Now you should know what online affiliate marketing means and how you're able to make money with it. But how can i find a good product? There are lots of major websites in where you can register and from where you're able to find affiliate programs to join with. I say the biggest of them is Clickbank. Just check it out, register, see their guide and everything will be clear for you. Of course, there are lots of other big names to take notice of, too. The best place to find something is www.abestweb.com. They have great forums for affiliate marketing and also for publishers. We encourage you to find some other affiliate networks just like clickbank from abestweb website, too. Quick Start - Earn While You Learn No need to wait before you can start making money, you can start earning affiliate commissions now. You don't even need a web site or any products to do this! You will be amazed how easy this is to do - just spend one hour every day promoting affiliate sales and earn while you learn! What Is An Affiliate? In internet terms, an affiliate is simply anyone who promotes the sales of someone else's products or services and in return receives an agreed commission for any sales resulting from their referrals. There are affiliate schemes for just about every product / service you can think of, and most of them are free to join. Each scheme has it's own terms and conditions that you should carefully read before joining. Some of the important things to look out for are: * Is the commission based on a fixed value or is it a % of the selling price * Anything less than $10 is not worth the effort - look for upwards of $25 * How often are your commissions paid and is there a holdback * Do you get paid only on the first purchase or for repeat purchases * Is there a minimum amount before you get paid * How do you get paid e.g check, PayPal, bank transfer etc * Do they provide you with on-line reporting to view your statistics How Do Affiliate Schemes Work? When you join an affiliate program, they give you an affiliate URL (link to the merchants website) that contains your unique affiliate identification code. Whenever someone clicks on your affiliate URL, they are taken to the merchants website and a record is made that they were referred by you. This is usually done by means of a tracking "cookie" which is a small file that sits on the visitor's PC. Whenever a visitor / customer makes a purchase, the affiliate program checks the cookie and knows that you must get paid commission because you were the original referrer. This is a very simplified explanation of how affiliate schemes work. Most people shudder at the thought of Forex Trading because they think that it is very high risk trading because of the great amount of leverage involved. However the money making potential in Forex Trading is huge when compared to other financial instruments worldwide. This article will highlight three great reasons why you should consider Forex Trading or at least a managed Forex Trading Account when considering between the multitude of investment instruments available on the market today. Firstly, the forex market is the most liquid financial market in the world today. This means practically that even in a falling or rising market, there will always be a ready buyer or seller on the market. Most of us have been caught in situations where we want to sell a stock but there are no ready buyers in a falling market. The great amount of liquidity in the forex market today, means that not only can you sell your currency fast but you can also acquire it fast as well and in rapid succession. That's one reason why George Soros managed to funnel large amounts of money through the several South East Asian currencies during the currency crisis and made huge amounts of money in the process. Secondly, the forex market is a true global market meaning that it operates 24/7 during the weekdays. This means that if you really wanted to, you could trade through the night and the day. Thankfully there is forex trading software now that helps you monitor trades and hunt for good trading opportunities and when you just enter your trading strategy, and the robot takes over and closes your position for you. The trading platforms now are so robust that you can set your downside indicators to close your position when it falls below a pre-set number so that you do not lost money even while you are sleeping. Thirdly, the Forex Market is controlled by macro economic factors. Currencies are representations of how strong the economies are and how global trade affects them. The US Dollar rises and falls against the Euro in response to how strong the US economy is. Central bank intervention also plays a large role in this matter and such details are readily known to anyone today with internet access. You would want to contrast this to stock markets where the fund managers are usually the first to know about a scandal or bad quarter as opposed to the main retail investors. Another aspect of marco economics is that currency trends take a long time to play out. This means practically that we will not be caught off guard so fast when there is a turn in the market which takes a few years to play out. In conclusion, we have highlighted three reasons why you should consider Forex Trading as a possible way to make money online. Take some time this weekend and go to the library and read all you can on the subject and then practice as much as you can with the free simulated accounts that most forex trading brokers provide and only spend money when you have accumulated enough profitable paper trading. Remember with great risk comes great reward in the Forex Trading Market. Carpe Diem! Copyright © 2006 Joel Teo. All rights reserved. There are many ways to earn extra money online. Don’t worry, though, this article isn’t about to suggest you start buying into those too-good-to-be-true internet scams that promise you the world and deliver nothing but snake oil. These suggestions to earn extra money are legitimate and proven. One way to earn extra money online is to participate in affiliate advertising or banner exchange programs. One of the most popular of these programs is Google AdSense, which has definitely helped people all over the world using the websites and blogs they are maintaining anyway to earn extra money. How this works is that you sign up as a member of one of these programs, then insert a few simple lines of code into your web space. The program does the rest by placing ads on your web space that are directly related to the content in your site. Your visitors are seeing ads that are relevant to their interests and every single time they click, you earn extra money. This method is only hugely profitable for very high traffic sites, but even if you earn extra money in very small amounts, considering there is absolutely no start-up cost to you, this is still an excellent method to earn extra money. You might also consider a retail or sales affiliate program to earn extra money through your website. In this scenario, you select products and services from your host that are relevant to your site visitors and then every time the click from your site results in a sale, you get a cut. Once again, this typically requires no upfront participation costs from you, even though the return is relatively small, it is still a reliable and legitimate way to earn extra money with your web space. Although there is no guarantee of being able to support yourself or a full time income from these methods to earn extra money, they are free to try and worth a shot for most people. And you never know with a little hard work you could be making money while you sleep.
